The not so secret announcement x’s 2
Announcement 1: In Spring 2011 Brown Eyed Photography is moving to Northern Vermont! We’re very excited. We’re moving to the family farm and I’ve been having so much fun discovering endless opportunities for portrait shoots at the farm.
There will be a transition period over the next year and we’re very much looking forward to our Vermont weddings AND our Southern New England weddings next year!
Announcement 2: Speaking of Vermont weddings: we’ve picked the “winners” for the free Vermont wedding we were offering. So fun reading the responses!
On July 9, 2011 we will be shooting Arik and Mike’s wedding and reception aboard the Spirit of Ethan Allen on Lake Champlain! These two are pretty amazing. We are excited to work with them and I’m sure their 5,782* friends and family members will be excited too! We received overwhelming response about these two. We said that it didn’t matter how many nominations each couple got, but we didn’t count on one couple being nominated by sooo many people! Each note featuring Arik and Mike gave us a better picture of just how wonderful these men are.
We read things like:
“The two of them together are absolutely hilarious, and I can’t imagine them not together, ever. Both of them would give the shirt of their back to help a friend in need, and anyone else for that matter…”
-John H.
“Arik is so sweet, caring and compassionate and extremely funny … Michael is Arik’s partner who is sweet, sensitive, extremely funny and an amazing artist. The two of them together make a fabulous couple …”
-Carolyn W.
“I’m getting to be a part of the happiest day of my best friends life with the man he loves with all his heart and I want this day to be perfect for both of them and getting this opportunity would mean the world to them.”
-Chris A.
“A quick story about them…a couple years ago a number of people from Essex Middle School (where Arik and I work) ran in the Vermont City Marathon. Michael was out there cheering for all of us! You could tell that they would support each other through anything…even a grueling…and slow…6 hour race. Michael even gave me his headphones when mine died!”
-Lindsay M.
“They are so nice to me and so devoted to each other.”
-Sally S.
“I was actually with them the night they started dating, and have been a big part of their lives since. I am really eager to see them finally get married!”
–Heidi K.
“Mike and Arik are really great friends of mine and have always made me feel loved and included.”
-Sarah B.
“what I’d really like to share is my thoughts about them as a “good people” couple. They respect each other, make each other laugh, support each other, maintain individuality, encourage each other and generally enjoy life together. Great traits to find in couples, married or dating, and something you unfortunately don’t see that often. This bind is for life and I look foward to the day when they make it official!”
-Kim M.
“He was the one I wanted to date. No joke, he was super cute and well you can see how far that went haha.”
-Christine H.
“In all of the years that Michael and Arik have been together, I can officially say that they are still in the “honeymoon phase.”
-Krystal W.
See? Exciting! And when I talked briefly with Mike about their wedding plans …. eee!!
