Teeny tiny Frankie grew up to have a smile ready for his parents and now has an even bigger ever-ready grin! I could not believe how much Frankie has grown between 3 months and now! His parents are so crazy about him, it’s very very adorable. And to be fair, he’s really hard to resist!

and his mom brought in this blanket that Frankie LOVES! I have never seen a baby so excited about an item. He was attempting to shove the whole thing in his mouth. His very talented great grandmother made this blanket for him. Love it!

I can’t wait to see you, Frankie (and your parents too!) for your 9 month pictures! I’m excited to see how you change and grow over the next three months – and how you don’t!

Enjoyable afternoon spent capturing this new arrival. To be honest a lot of the time I spent chatting with Katie, Julia’s mom. Katie is a super put together, confident, self assured, mellow first time mom.
I’m impressed.
Yes, she has questions, moments of doubt, and forgets to eat at times, but she’s also so naturally a mom. It’s amazing.
And her daughter is pretty fantastic too. She wanted to stay up and hear all of our chatting. We had to figure out silence would help the poor baby fall asleep. Between waking and sleeping we captured the amazing 8 day old Julia:

Congratulations Katie and Darren. I love that you spend time watching Julia’s face trying to figure out if it’s the “I’m full!” face or the “I’m hungry!” face. Julia is lucky to have such interested parents.

The adorable Morgan with her big eyes made the trek up to Vermont to see her mama’s family for the holidays and was so very kind to take some time out to come and do her 9 month pictures, inviting her parents to join the photo shoot this time. I’m so glad she did!

I should confess- her parents, particularly her mom, who claim to be not so photogenic… well, they were having such a good time that I couldn’t resist capturing some family action. In fact, there are way fewer Morgan proofs than family proofs. Morgan is moving and grooving and very into hanging out with her parents (unless an older kid is around to distract…) so why not include the family love?

… and some family fun too!

Love having the ongoing excuse to get together with you Morgan. Next time I see you you’ll be a year!! Hard to believe.

It has been an incredible year.
Thank you all for contributing to the fun, the creativity, and the success of this year for Brown Eyed Photography.
I’m excited about next year and everything that is planned from seniors to weddings to babies and everything in between.
But right now I’m just sitting in wonder at all that happened this year.

And as an end-of-year tribute to the friends and faces of Brown Eyed Photography, here’s a slideshow we put together highlighting all the great people I was able to work with in 2009. What a beautiful bunch they are!
Thanks again everyone, and see you in 2010!

I’ve heard of double trouble.
So maybe when you add one more to the mix it’s triple trouble?
Really, these three – yes three!! – babies were anything but trouble.
At 6 months they already have such individual personalities and it.is.adorable!

The two “bookends”- those are two different babies. And then they have a non identical brother who there very sweet mom, Karen, tends to put in the middle for pictures. Helps keep straight who is who.
Another trick is to put ankle bracelets on the boys, see Nathan’s on his ankle? The other two boys lost their ankle bracelets somewhere along the way before I arrived with camera in hand.

They are working on rolling and sitting and maybe even moving that could be considered crawling. Busy busy days ahead for these babies and their parents!

I loved meeting Karen, her mother-in-law, and her three perfect babies!

Sabina, who was one of my all-time favorite newborns agreed to photo session round two now that she’s matured to a smiley 3 month old who can sit with the safety net of a boppy. The girl has two brothers to catch up with!

This time she suggested we include her brothers… when we could catch them;) Sabina’s older brother is fairly easily charmed by his sister’s attention:

Isaac is not so easily swayed- but his cherubic face is adorable even if it is deep in concentration:

I loved having a chance to see you again, Sabina. Keep doing all that growing and I’ll see you again soon!

Baby Frankie is smiling like crazy at 3 months old! Frankie’s fabulous family met up with me on the first decent weekend where we could take advantage of the crazy awesome foliage and capture the family of three. We wanted some captures of the 3 month old version of Frankie and some family time for some holiday cards.
Here’s the crazy smile:

Sheba’s mom made these adorable matching pumpkin hats! So cute!

Sheba, John, and Frankie- you all rock and as a combo! wow! See you soon:)

She’s back!
Her eyes are just as big, she’s just as easy going, and she’s sitting!
Morgan made the big drive to Rhode Island for her six month session and I can’t decide if it was more fun hanging with her or her parents. Good thing they are a packaged deal.

But really, this is a one-man-show as far as Morgan is concerned- and that one man is her dad. She is very adept at keeping him on her radar- as you can see here- he’s off to my left.

Can’t wait to see you Dani, Brian, and Morgan for a nine-month session around the holidays!

Papyrus at the Providence Place Mall contacted Brown Eyed Photography about a month ago to see if they could have a large print of a family photograph to display in their window.
Wow!
Definitely doable!
So I roped in a family that had not yet picked a date so that I could attempt to get some more fall looking pictures.
(here is the blog entry with the pictures from that shoot.)
I went today to see the display:

Here’s the even better part:

You can enter to win a Brown Eyed Photography Portrait Session, $100 print credit AND from Papyrus: 10% off holiday boxed and custom printed cards.
I’m telling you so you can go enter and you can tell your friends so they can go enter… Good luck!
