The largest midwifery practice in the state is working on a new brochure and they want to include a multi-generational image featuring at least 3 women as they want to let everyone know that midwives are not only for prenatal care.
What a fun project for me! I racked my brain trying to think of a family in the area where all three generations were relatively close. It was tricky because while I know a lot of moms-to-be and moms-with-toddlers and under, I don’t know many who have older daughters… and then I thought of Tara.
Thankfully Tara, her mom Nancy, and her daughter Delani were all up for a quick shoot.

Loved having an excuse to hang out with Tara and meet her kind mother and fabulous daughter!

The adorable Morgan with her big eyes made the trek up to Vermont to see her mama’s family for the holidays and was so very kind to take some time out to come and do her 9 month pictures, inviting her parents to join the photo shoot this time. I’m so glad she did!

I should confess- her parents, particularly her mom, who claim to be not so photogenic… well, they were having such a good time that I couldn’t resist capturing some family action. In fact, there are way fewer Morgan proofs than family proofs. Morgan is moving and grooving and very into hanging out with her parents (unless an older kid is around to distract…) so why not include the family love?

… and some family fun too!

Love having the ongoing excuse to get together with you Morgan. Next time I see you you’ll be a year!! Hard to believe.

It has been an incredible year.
Thank you all for contributing to the fun, the creativity, and the success of this year for Brown Eyed Photography.
I’m excited about next year and everything that is planned from seniors to weddings to babies and everything in between.
But right now I’m just sitting in wonder at all that happened this year.

And as an end-of-year tribute to the friends and faces of Brown Eyed Photography, here’s a slideshow we put together highlighting all the great people I was able to work with in 2009. What a beautiful bunch they are!
Thanks again everyone, and see you in 2010!

Sheba and John placed this fun order and I had to grab a picture quick to share. I love the fall colors, I love the holiday cards, I love…well, everything about what they ordered!
That reminded me that I should probably remind you that all orders that you’re wanting by Christmas must be ordered by December 7th. I hate rushing the holidays but I want to make sure that you get your order on time.

I met up with the fabulous Beth, Scott, and Carter at their house before driving over to a local park. Their yard was in full color making it easy to get some fun family captures and the park with its pond, trails, and a gazebo… fun!

This lucky puppy has been part of this family for two years now.

In case you think Carter is a serious kid…

I loved spending time with this lovely family! The fall foliage doesn’t last long and it’s always a pleasure to have the opportunity to take advantage of it.

Sabina, who was one of my all-time favorite newborns agreed to photo session round two now that she’s matured to a smiley 3 month old who can sit with the safety net of a boppy. The girl has two brothers to catch up with!

This time she suggested we include her brothers… when we could catch them;) Sabina’s older brother is fairly easily charmed by his sister’s attention:

Isaac is not so easily swayed- but his cherubic face is adorable even if it is deep in concentration:

I loved having a chance to see you again, Sabina. Keep doing all that growing and I’ll see you again soon!

Remember Alexis?
She’s doing all sorts of big girl things now- like walking (!!!) and for this session she was kind enough to invite the whole family along.

No, I mean the WHOLE family!

And I’m so glad she did!

Just the cousins…. and Alexis too, of course.

They were a fun group to hang out with…. here’s the bonus to show what silliness can arise when you put this group together in front of the camera:

It was hard not to laugh at their antics but I didn’t want to give away the silliness that was going on behind the people posing.
Jenn, thanks so much for organizing your family to come to this fall-tastic park to capture everyone… but mostly Alexis, right?

Baby Frankie is smiling like crazy at 3 months old! Frankie’s fabulous family met up with me on the first decent weekend where we could take advantage of the crazy awesome foliage and capture the family of three. We wanted some captures of the 3 month old version of Frankie and some family time for some holiday cards.
Here’s the crazy smile:

Sheba’s mom made these adorable matching pumpkin hats! So cute!

Sheba, John, and Frankie- you all rock and as a combo! wow! See you soon:)

AJ and Brian were one of the first families I did a shoot for back when I was speedily building my portfolio. They were anticipating an addition to their life as a couple and when Cassidy arrived I had the honor of doing her newborn pictures. Both sessions were fabulous….
So when AJ contacted me about doing pictures of Brian’s whole family I jumped at the chance…. and was not disappointed!

But really… it’s all about….

Yep, that’s a hair clip retrieval operation on Cassidy’s part.
Brian, AJ, and family! It was so fun to meet you all and very cool to see how fortunate Ms. Cassidy is to have such a loving family.
