… I was coming home from the 2009 Scott Kelby Photo Walk. It’s a world-wide event where photographers of every level meet in their city and spend a couple hours looking at their city through the camera lens. It was very fun to connect with other photographers and see Providence in a different light…. mostly a humid and cloudy light.
Here are my favorites from the event:

Hope your fourth has been as relaxing and enjoyable as mine. I still have one more sneak peak blog entry from our week in Vermont that I can’t wait to share! I plan to post the pictures of the finally-engaged-Brian-and-Laura in the next couple days. Just wait until you see their smiles.
In the meantime… Happy Fourth!

June has been slow blog-wise because I have been in VT for most of the month…. not photo-shoot free though. There are posts to follow that will reveal all that I’ve been up to. In the meantime… here’s a slice of VT:
Off to reply to the 30 emails that are waiting for me in my inbox.

My brother contacted me to ask if I could do head shots for him.
He needs them for his resume- he’s a theater major.
Sure, no problem.
They were soooo fun! What a change from new babies:) I love love the snuggly little people but it’s also fun to tell someone to move this way or that and… they do it! I couldn’t convince my brother to curl into a ball with a blanket wrapped around him but it turned out we still got some great head shots.

I know, I know- my baby brother is a senior in college (except he’s on the five year plan…) but this shoot made me really look forward to the start of high school senior portrait season!

He’s in a play in April that I can’t wait to see! When I know more details I’ll update this post.

And just for fun…

Thank you for thinking of me when you knew you needed head shots, Douglas. It was great to see you. Hope you’re having a blast with your nephew (my son) this weekend!

Erin, of Sugar Fire Jewellery contacted me about doing some product images for her of her unique nature inspired jewelery. I loved that she was able to give me specific ideas about what she was looking for in the images.
I love love working with people and capturing the spontaneity and uniqueness of individuals. Every once in a while though it’s fun to do something a little different.
I think this one is my favorite:

It’s been fun working with you Erin. Good luck in all your future business endeavors!

Wow! What a fun shower. The mom-to-be, Dani, looked amazing and her mother-in-law was a wonderful party-thrower. Do you see these adorable treats?
After opening my gift Dani quickly realized that this means I HAVE to make the trek up to NH soon. It was hard to tell if that was more exciting for Dani or the photo shoot and birth announcements:)
I thought the favors were too cute. Each container is labeled “sweet pea” and there is a sweat pea planted inside. Love it.
I am counting the days (well… you know what I mean) until I can come and hang out with you, Dani and Brian… and your brand new baby. Can’t wait!

I’m really really hoping that my friend, that will remain name-less (for now) won’t check this blog this morning.
Surely she’s too busy preparing to go to her mother in laws for another baby shower (her’s- and it’s not a surprise).
I just wanted to show you what I’m giving her.
This is the front:
And this is the back:
I’m so excited to be able to give this to my friend. I will be sure to report back what her reaction was to the gift. Must go get ready for the day of fun up in NH.

My potted Shasta Daisy thinks so.

I love snow…. but a balmy spring day would be very appreciated right about now.
