Sometimes you realize you need a picture of your entire family for your Christmas cards.
I did not realize this.
My mother-in-law did and asked that we try to get a picture with all of us (all of us = Josh’s parents, Josh’s siblings, Josh, me, our two kids). So we brought a tripod to the pasture with some friendly heifers. We kept turning in circles trying to find the best view. It was all stunning with the gorgeous fall colors, the awesome blue mountains, the fabulous huge sky! When we finally just picked a spot, Josh set everything up in the camera on a timer. He then RAN to join our family, posing obediently and patiently … and all of the cows freaked out and ran away. Oops. Next time he ran very slowly over to the family … but the cows kept their distance. We checked the back of the camera to see if everyone was looking. Noah, who thinks he’s funny, had his eyes closed in every.single.picture. Re-do.
These are some of our fave’s.
And if you’re lucky enough to be on Josh’s mom’s Christmas card list … you’ll get to see some of these in your mailbox in a couple of months!
This is Josh with his siblings and parents. Noah saw this one and said: “the only thing wrong with it is that me and Del aren’t in it!”
Just the four of us … and by the looks of our kids this family portrait session lasted about 10minutes longer than it actually did!
