Ashlie plays the bass clarinet (which is cool all on its own) AND she plays for a Youth Symphony Orchestra in Montpelier. I am very impressed. When I learned about her musical passion I was so so so excited to include her instrument in her senior session. During our originally scheduled date … it rained. No worries. I said it would be fun to do half the session in the rain and do the rest on an alternate date. We left the clarinet home during the rain session. I’m not so musical and don’t even pretend to know the first thing about playing an instrument but bringing one outside in the rain seemed not so wise. Ashley was awesome in the rain … so much so that we had to pull out an umbrella to even show that it was raining 🙂
