Emily is a talented, smart, and beautiful high school senior and I feel thankful to be in a world with confident women like Emily growing up and making big exciting plans. I can’t wait to stalk Emily on facebook as she finishes her time at High school and moves on to college – she’s got her eyes set on the midwest. I can’t wait to see where life brings her! In the moment of her session it was fun to have some time to get to know Emily who first heard about Brown Eyed Photography through Chelsea, my sister-in-law who I photographed back when she graduated in 2009. Emily knew Chelsea and I were related somehow but didn’t know we were in the same immediate family! Chelsea was a senior when Emily was a freshman and they were both in the school play that year. We’ve been in business for a while now but I still get a thrill when someone finds us through another client – or an awesome family member! 🙂
As we talked I told Emily it was like I was the dentist. She kept her big smile on and tried to keep it in place while I asked her about her high school experience, future plans, family dynamics, etc, etc. It’s kind of like when the dentist has her/his hands in your mouth and is trying to have a conversation with you. She laughed at that because, she explained, her dad IS a dentist and her mom is a dental hygienist. So Emily was a pro at showing off her awesome teeth and maintaining the ebb and flow of a fun conversation.
Congratulations, Emily for being at the end of your high school experience! I hope you enjoy all the moments throughout the year that remind you that this one is your last at this school!
