Enosburg Falls High School must be proud to have the talented, confident, smart Jess as a member of their class of 2011. I’m excited to see what Jess does this year at school (star in the school play?) and beyond!

Jess had fabulous ideas for locations at her house for her pictures and posed like a pro! It was so so so hot and I was so so so thankful when Jess mentioned a stream with a bridge (a precarious bridge, I might add!). I asked Jess if she’d go in the water… not that I was necessarily thinking it was necessary for pictures but more because I wanted an excuse to get in the cool water! And as a bonus – I love how the water pictures turned out too

I was excited to learn that my very fabulous sister-in-law‘s senior prom was the same weekend we were up in Vermont for Laura and Brian’s wedding. We broke out the camera for some pre-prom pictures at home and at the park.

Chelsea mentioned that she’d like a dress like the one Taylor Swift wore in the Love Story music video and my mother in law said she could probably make it…. uh yes, did she ever!

Class of 2011 Senior Rep Search

What’s a senior rep?

A senior rep is an outgoing, motivated, friendly member of the class of 2011 who will help get the word out about Brown Eyed Photography to their classmates by sharing how fun their experience was during their senior session. In exchange reps receive a FREE senior session, rep cards featuring pictures of you and Brown Eyed Photography contact info, and fun bonuses for every person that brings one of your rep cards to their senior session.

Oh- the friend you referred that brings in the card? They get 8 free wallets!

How do you get the word out?

The more you can promote me on your facebook and other social media, the better! You’ll receive several photos from our session with a logo on it that you can use as your profile pic as often as possible. I’ll also give you a limited supply of rep cards featuring pictures from our session to give to your family so they can help spread the word too! You can also hand these rep cards out at school to all of your senior friends.

Fine print:

All senior sessions must be completed by May of the Junior Year. Parents or legal guardians of the senior must sign a model release, allowing us to use your images for advertising purposes. A valid rep card must be presented by a referred student in order to receive any credits toward bonuses. Bonuses will only be issued when a referred senior’s session is complete and all fees are paid in a timely manner by the referred senior. Positions are limited so act fast if you’re interested!

It has been an incredible year.
Thank you all for contributing to the fun, the creativity, and the success of this year for Brown Eyed Photography.
I’m excited about next year and everything that is planned from seniors to weddings to babies and everything in between.
But right now I’m just sitting in wonder at all that happened this year.

And as an end-of-year tribute to the friends and faces of Brown Eyed Photography, here’s a slideshow we put together highlighting all the great people I was able to work with in 2009. What a beautiful bunch they are!

Molly is leaving on a jet plane…

…a car, bus, or train- whatever it takes. She’s soooo ready to leave Enosburgh, Vermont. It’s funny because I can’t wait to get back! I’m sure she will be very missed when she goes off to college to take the stage by surprise with her incredible gift of acting and singing. I haven’t had the opportunity to see her on stage, but that’s the word on the street. I’ll have to see her this year before she becomes too famous!

Molly, you’re as awesome as I knew you would be! I loved having an excuse to hang out with you (and give you an excuse to skip class;)). Thanks for you enthusiasm, honesty, and fabulous location ideas- never mind the ever changing poses that made my job sooooo easy!

Chelsea, my fabulous sister-in-law has kindly modeled for me more than once over the last year or so. She also helped design and then hosted the first ever Brown Eyed Photography Portrait Party. It’s hard to believe she’s a senior! Where does the time go?? I’m trying not to think of where she’s planning on going to college (Maine) because who knows when we’ll both happen to be at her parents for a visit….
Let’s distract ourselves with these fabulous shots of her that show off the awesome Vermont scenery (including her family’s cows) around Vermont.

Thank you Chelsea, for being my guinea pig! You have matured into a kind, thoughtful, and very cool young woman. I can’t wait to see what you do next!

Back Flip Nick

You may have already spotted Nick’s crazy back flip on the facebook fan page in the senior photos section. For someone who said he didn’t have many ideas about what to do or where to go for his shoot- he came out with some pretty spectacular poses, facial expressions, and locations!
You may remember Nick from the Portrait Party. He was the one always looking the opposite way everyone else was looking;)

Thank you, Nick, so much!! It was relaxing and fun hanging out in the street, in various fields, in front of the cows….

Kyrstyn at home in Enosburg, Vermont

When Kyrstyn mentioned at the Portrait Party that she wanted me to do her senior pictures I was thrilled! She’s easy going, smart, and easy to hang out with.
When it was time for her senior shoot, I met Kyrstyn sooooo early in the morning on (I think) the first frost day in Vermont for the season. It was cold. And Kyrstyn wore flip flops. Love it.

She sat on a cold swing, cold guard rail, cold ground, and laid on cold rocks… in a gutter!

And just for fun… Kyrstyn is the second of five children and I thought it would be fun to capture something that shows what life is like at their house. Kyrstyn told me some pretty great stories about her younger siblings:)

From the approximately 13 seconds I spent with Kyrstyn’s three younger siblings- they seem as mellow as she is- I so appreciated them running bare foot in the cold (did I mention that it was cold?) to get this shot.

Thank you Kyrstyn- so much!- for having me do your senior portraits. It was fun to have an excuse to hang out with you!

Jenessa in Enosburg, Vermont

Jenessa’s mom had some fantastic ideas about what we could use for Jenessa’s senior session. It was very fun to incorporate her ideas as well as the scenery around the farm.

Jenessa is super cute and was up for anything I suggested.

For those that don’t know: she’s not a fan of cats. This was the one shot from this location where this adorable (in my opinion), if not photo-centric, cat attempted to steal the lime light.

Thank you, Jenessa (and Molly) for a relaxing morning on the farm. I will be sending a proof cd to the land of dial-up asap! I can’t wait for you to see the rest!
