Style Guide: Engagement Photo Shoot Wardrobe Inspiration
I’ve been busy adding all kinds of outfits to the style guides on Brown Eyed Photography’s Pinterest account. We’re having fun with winter shoots … and couples are seeing these one-of-a-kind awesome winter shoots and deciding winter is the best time for their engagement photo shoot! This is all very exciting … but what to wear, what to wear.
I tell everyone – layers – lots and lots of layers – without getting too too bulky. A fitted coat/jacket is good and we’ll do some shots with and some without the jacket. Matching mitten/hat/scarf sets are great too! Here, here, and here are some sold on etsy that would be perfect!
I also did a little window shopping for you … which ended up being more stressful than I imagined. Apparently trench coats are in this year?!?! I couldn’t find any normal coats. I did find some adorable sweaters and used those for the base of these outfits.
So be inspired (I hope!):
I’m sure you have every piece of clothing needed for your shoot right in your closet! To help you pull colors together go look at your favorite painting. Isolate two or three colors in that painting – there’s your color scheme. Now find clothes that fit into that scheme in your closet. Here are some recent snowy pictures to help you get started …
Part of what makes our job as photographers so fun is coordinating the design of any given shoot. So keep emailing me asking questions about wardrobe, style, and other details to make your custom photo shoot in the Adirondacks so uniquely yours!
