Magda and Matt confessed when we met a couple weeks ago (yes, short notice … it’s a long story that thankfully ends well!) they confessed right away that this was actually a wedding celebration on their first anniversary. The small official wedding was a year ago – this gave them an extra year to plan the big unofficial wedding. The wait was worth it! The details that Magda and Matt worked into their celebration were perfectly them. And the solid relationship between Magda and Matt is a joy to watch. How lucky we were to document the event and how lucky their guests to witness it all!
Have you ever seen a wedding dress with pockets?!? Brilliant!
Magda’s family came in from Poland speaking little to no English. It was incredible to hear them talk but even more incredible to think of the bravery of coming for Magda’s wedding with minimal ability to communicate during their travels.
Exchanging rings and a fist bump 😉
I love that time we sneak away with the couple …
Back to the reception!! First stop – ring awesomeness with Magda’s beautiful pink and orange flowers. She said the florist suggested she tone it down a bit but she insisted that pink and orange was her preference … so glad she did!
uhuh, she’s doing a: “c’mere” – made our hearts sing!
Magda and Matt have some amazing dancing friends! When I wasn’t pulling my chin up off the floor out of amazement I was able to get some of their fabulous moves.
The Ballroom at the Vesper Country Club was perfect for ceremony and reception
