Oh blog. I know, it’s been a while. Life keeps happening. I had to had to make time to share wedding photography from Stephanie and Mike’s outdoor wedding. Stephanie is the kindest person ever and it’s so very sweet to see Mike melt a little when he’s with Stephanie. The beauty of their wedding was so perfect for them – the day just had their personality all over it!
Stephanie arranged to have a horse drawn carriage bring her to the ceremony location. She’s had a long history with horses and this was a way to incorporate her love of horses. The horse has had an interesting past and definitely knew how to bring a girl to her wedding in high style!
Stephanie and Mike combined different colored sand to symbolize the shared life they will have together. What an awesome reminder to keep in their new home of their wedding day commitment.
During the last song all of the guests surrounded Stephanie and Mike as they danced their last dance on their wedding day. It was beautiful. Definitely a hide-behind-the-camera-so-no-one-sees-you-tearing-up moment.
… they were almost the last ones to leave. First making sure Mike’s grandmother received an impressive number of “one more hug”‘s and thanking friends and family members who were on their way to Stephanie’s parents for an after-wedding party (that we were kindly also invited to … and sadly declined) … and then they were off …
… first one quick stop up the road. On the way in to the ceremony/reception location I noticed a sign near the entrance saying “free kittens call …”
Stephanie was so excited! She and Mike and agreed to get a cat (but Stephanie really wanted a kitten) as a wedding gift to each other after their honeymoon. While at their reception Stephanie and Mike (I’ll admit, it was mostly Stephanie) asked the owners of the ceremony/reception location about the kittens. There were two left, right up the driveway in a nearby barn.
The couple stopped by the barn on their way out of town.
Do you think they chose only one? No way. Two kittens went home with Stephanie and Mike after their honeymoon and have settled in well.
