Taylor Rental Farm Wedding :: Brighid and Danny

Some of our absolutely favorite weddings happen in off-the-beaten-path locations that require a tent, a dance floor, tables, chairs … etc to be brought in. Our local Taylor Rental in Plattsburgh, is one of our go-to suggestions when brides are looking for such weddings.
Brighid and Danny had access to a beautiful family farm in Ausable Forks, NY … and they made the most of this ideal location. They were able to rent a farmhouse around the corner from the farm that was able to accommodate their wedding party and provide plenty of space for the wedding day preparations – while still keeping Danny and Brighid separated.

Powder Blue and Grey Details

Danny and Brighid’s wedding date was July 3 … Independence Day weekend. They loved their powder blue and grey color scheme … but had a few sneaky details as a nod to celebrating 4th of July.

Holy Name Catholic Church

We will regularly notice churches that we put on our bucket list of churches we’d love to photograph a wedding at. Holy Name Catholic Church is one such place. The stone exterior, the slate floors, the minimalist design … And in this space, Brighid and Danny glowed. They were so excited to be getting married, to be celebrating their relationship, to be sharing their love with family and friends. Our favorite part about our our as wedding photographers is documenting moments unnoticed – and this day was filled with magic to be documented. It was extra special because a beautiful church like Holy Name in Ausable Forks was the chosen location for Brighid and Danny’s ceremony.

Brighid and Danny don’t live in the Adirondacks, but they have fallen in love with the area after many relaxing trips to Northern NY. During one of their drives around the Ausable area, they stumbled upon this covered bridge and knew they wanted to spend part of their wedding day here capturing beautiful images in their post-ceremony happiness. We love being able to slip away with couples for some breathing space between the ceremony and reception. This is usually a time for couples to spend time in awe of the fact that they are married. They did it! And for the most part, we just stand back and capture their love.

Danny’s friend rented a sports car for the couple to use as their “get away” wheels. This was so so fun for Danny and Brighid – and yes, squealing tires were heard. Every wedding is unique because the people involved are unique. We are all about figuring out what details the couple is most excited about and are sure to spend the time it takes to document those details. For Brighid and Danny, this car was one of those fun details. And they were more than happy to speed by the camera a few times, so we could get some fun images showing their speedy ride.

Off to the picturesque Adirondack farm to celebrate Danny and Brighid! The wooden tables, the details, the vast sky framed by tall evergreens, the chandeliers … so beautiful!
